Five Public Golf Courses You Can Play in Fort Lauderdale

Bring your golf clubs when you stay with us this summer! Fort Lauderdale fields five public golf course, each within seven to 14 miles from our hotel.

If you want a quick round on a budget, these five Fort Lauderdale courses will suffice. Just to our south, however, the town of Hollywood plays host to a few more well-developed courses. The five public golf courses in Fort Lauderdale include:

Plantation Preserve Golf Course & Club

Operated by the city of Plantation, this 18-hole golf course features conjoined greens on the 15th and 17th holes. The complex has a pro shop and restaurant, and lessons are available. Three sets of men’s tee boxes on this par 72 course, which plays to a maximum length of 7,148 yards. Golf cards include state-of-the-art GPS systems.

Off-Season Rates: $87 to $48 per round, depending upon tee time.

Jacaranda Golf Club

Featuring five sets of men’s tee boxes on each hole, this 36-hole golf course is nicely groomed and fairly wide open. The East course is about 500 yards longer, and a bit more challenging, than the West course. Also features a dining room and a snack bar. Lessons and memberships are available.

Off-Season Rates: $80 to $40 per round, depending upon tee time.

Bonaventure Country Club

Due west of our hotel, this 18-hole golf course is attached to the Boneventure & Spa. The course features three tee boxes, the longest of which plays to par 74. The complex contains a grill that serves burgers, wraps, salad, soup and pasta. Club rentals and shoe rentals are available.

Off-Season Rates: $40 to $65 per round, depending upon tee time.

Colony West Golf Club

The greens are small at this par-70 golf course, which was developed in 1971 to host the Jackie Gleason Open. Be careful – Jack Nicklaus made a seven on the par-four twelfth hole. Also features the Glades course, which features mainly par-three holes and par-four holes and plays to par 65. It’s due north of our hotel.
